While these skills used to be common knowledge, they have been neglected in favor of increased rigor, extracurricular activities, and working side jobs just to make ends meet.

Unfortunately, busy family schedules, single-parent households, latchkey or homeless students, and other challenges make it difficult for parents and families to find time to teach these critical life skills to the next generation. As a result, students’ ability to navigate life after high school is often compromised.

To address these concerns, Summit Education Services has developed the “Senior Culmination Series” (SCS), a nationally research-based program that consists of 32 “future ready” modules. These modules are designed to provide graduating seniors with a baseline knowledge of essential life skills that will give them a superior chance for greater success as they move into independent adulthood.

Each module is delivered in an easy-to-access format that can be completed independently or with peers in a classroom setting in less than 10-15 minutes. The modules cover important topics such as personal finance, resume building, interviewing skills, and basic first aid. After completing each module, students take a pass/fail quiz to assess their mastery of the content.

SCS is designed to be efficient and cost-effective, with minimal workload for administrators. The program’s easy-to-use tools allow you to keep track of your students’ progress and receive notifications if a student falls behind or needs help. To promote your school and your seniors, SCS provides weekly, pre-scripted social media posts for you to showcase the skills and knowledge your seniors are mastering.

Additionally, after successfully completing the program, each senior will receive an official certificate from Senior Culmination Series and a “Future Ready” graduation rope to wear at their ceremony, signifying their readiness for the future.
